What we do

The North West Business Leadership Team (NWBLT), as an influential business voice, addresses key strategic issues affecting the well-being of the region, focussing on a small number of issues - those where it can add most value - at any one time.

The Team has been heavily engaged in promoting wide consultation with the region's principal business sectors during the preparation of the 2010 Regional Strategy (RS2010) and focusses its attention on those aspects of the Strategy where the input of business leaders can add the greatest value. The Team works closely with the North West Development Agency and 4NW, exerting its collective influence to improve such key aspects of the region's competitiveness as skills, communications and marketing the region's assets.

NWBLT also plays a significant leadership role in promoting best practice in social inclusion and sustainable development through its members corporate community activities and commitments. Further information on all these activities is available on request.
