Welcome to NWBLT

NWBLT brings together senior executives of leading North West businesses - covering manufacturing and service industries, professional firms and universities - which between them are responsible, directly or indirectly, for the employment of over 250,000 people in the region. It provides an authoritative, but independent and non-political, voice for the region and a valuable sounding-board for key regional organisations and projects.

The full Mission Statement of NWBLT reads as follows:

To make the North West the UK's most attractive region in which to live and work for generations to come.

NWBLT will achieve this by:

  • Promoting a clear, distinctive and compelling vision for the region’s long-term future;
  • Articulating the view of major business leaders on key issues which make a real difference to the region’s attractiveness as a place to live and work, and addressing these issues;
  • Exercising responsible private sector leadership.
