Welcome to NWBLT

The North West Business Leadership Team (NWBLT) is an independent group of influential business leaders, who work together to promote the long-term well-being of North West England.

NWBLT’s mission is to make the North West the UK’s most attractive region in which to live and work for generations to come.

The membership of NWBLT is made up of top executives from the region’s major businesses (see “who we are” for current list of members). It operates as an independent business voice, providing a global, long-term perspective on key issues affecting the North West as well as support for significant regional projects. These range from skills development initiatives to opportunities for sustainable innovation and flagship projects such as the North West Climate Change Campaign and lobbying for improved transport links.

NWBLT’s members also act as ambassadors for the North West, liaising closely with the North West Development Agency and the region’s other marketing agencies.

NWBLT welcomes hearing from business leaders and representatives of organisations who share our vision of working together to make the North West a great place in which to live and work. Our Business Leadership Forum is open to anybody with a bona fide interest in the long-term well-being of the region. Details of how to join can be found at the Forum section of this site.

This website also highlights latest developments and current activities in relation to NWBLT’s four priority action areas:- Skills for Business; Promoting the Region’s Advantages; Innovation and Sustainable Development; and National and International Links – see links on right hand side.
