Who we are
The North West Business Leadership Forum (“NWBLF”) brings together representatives of large and small businesses, education and research institutions, and the public and voluntary sectors from throughout North West England, to debate issues of strategic importance to the well being of the region and its citizens. It is organised by the North West Business Leadership Team, a strategic regional think-tank comprising senior executives of the region’s major businesses and has been meeting monthly throughout the region since it was first established in 1990.
Each meeting of NWBLF features a leading speaker on a topic of broad interest and concern to our members, who are then provided with the opportunity to ask questions or make observations of their own in a relaxed and open environment. Topics debated at recent meetings have included initiatives to promote regional skills development, the region's transport infrastructure, the marketing of the North West, and the relationship between business and higher education.
Annual membership of NWBLF is open to any individual or organisation with a bona fide interest in the well-being of the region, and currently costs £300 per annum. This entitles each member to attend all the monthly meetings, together with a colleague or guest if they wish. Summarised minutes of the meetings are published on this page (see right)
If you are interested in becoming a member of NWBLF please contact Geoffrey Piper or Ann Sollars on 01925 212078 or by e-mail to info@nwblt.co.uk
